What is Airbrush Tanning?

Airbrush tanning refers to the process of applying a DHA based sunless solution to your skin with an airbrush.  The solution is applied evenly to your body by hand using an airbrush designed for sunless applications.  The whole process should take less than 15 minutes and result in a perfect looking tan that will last 3-7 days.

Airbrush Tanning vs. Mystic (Spray Booth) Tanning

Why be treated like a car going through an automated car wash when you can receive the attention to detail and quality given from our trained technicians?

Booth- Whether you are short, tall, skinny, or fat, a booth will spray you with the exact same motion and amount of spray. 

Airbrush- We will adjust the amount of spray we use and make sure to tailor the spray to your body type and for your needs.

Airbrush tanning is much more accurate than booth sprays

• What their machine does in 30-60 seconds, we do in 10-15 minutes.

• We take time and precisely apply the solution evenly across your body ensuring the best results.

Solutions are similar in that they both use DHA

• We have found a formula that smells better, is less messy, and tends to last a little longer.

Airbrush tanning is also cleaner than booth sprays.

• Barrier creams are not necessary

• No head caps or booties are needed

How does DHA work?

When DHA is applied to the skin; a brown “tan” forms in about 2 to 3 hours. The tan continues to darken for approximately 6 hours. The result can be a quite pleasing dark tan. The tan is absolutely water-resistant and diminishes only as the dead cells of the stratum corneum flake off (exfoliation) – usually in 4-5 days.

Will this tan protect me from the sun?

UV-Free airbrush tanning is purely cosmetic.  The “tan” you see is not an actual tan and it will not provide any protection from UV rays. 

What do I wear for my appointment?

Our staff is professional and experienced and you may wear or not wear whatever you choose.

• The DHA solution should wash out of most clothing

• Males are required to wear some sort of underwear

Can I get sprayed if I am pregnant?

The solution we use is a non-toxic food grade product.  It is approved for ingestion by the FDA and is not known to cause any detrimental affects to a pregnant mother or baby.  We have not heard of any physicians advising their patients not to tan, but we do recommend you check with your doctor as you would do with any other products.

Airbrush Tan Cancellation Policy

Aruba Tan’s Airbrush Technicians are brought in on an as-needed basis. Typically they are brought in just for your appointment. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows have dramatically increased costs for Aruba Tan as well as reduced potential revenues from other customers. The following cancellation policy is the result and will be enforced beginning June 1st, 2008.


Cancellations or Rescheduled Appointments:

All airbrush appointments must be secured with a credit card or an existing airbrush credit. If you do not want to leave your credit card number, you may pre-purchase your tans online here.

All cancellations or rescheduled appointments must be made 2 hours prior to your existing appointment.

No show, no call appointments will be assessed a $20.00 fee or 1 Airbrush Tan credit.

Cancellations or re-scheduled appointments made within 30 minutes- 2 hours of your appointment will be assessed a $10 fee.


Late Appointments:

Aruba Tan operates on an extremely tight schedule for Airbrush Tans with as little as 20 minutes between appointments.

5 minute policy- If you are more than 5 minutes late, we will be forced to reschedule you for a later time or date.

15 minute policy- If you are more than 15 minutes late, we will consider you a no show/no call appointment and assess a $20 fee or 1 Airbrush Tan credit
